This was definitely one of the species, and poses, I was hoping to get on this trip. As we walked around North Seymour Island, we came across quite a few Frigatebird males displaying, but without exception, they were almost surrounded by sticks, branches, bushes, etc. This was a bit disappointing, as this was the only chance we had on this trip to see this kind of display. I considered doing some work in Photoshop to clone out the sticks in this image, but for now have decided to just leave it as is.
